Vehicle Detail
1974 Porsche 911 For your consideration is this great little 911. This car was last registered and driven over 20 years ago before being put in dry storage. Last year the car was finally taken out of storage and has since undergone a mechanical restoration which included a full engine rebuild a new clutch etc. Narrow bodied 911s are becoming more and more difficult to find, don’t pass this one up. -Exterior- The body is in good condition, however the paint is old and tired and the car will definitely need to be repainted. The car will need some minor TLC to be 100%, some of the things that come to mind include the need to rebuild the right rear brake caliper, reinstall the rear decklid latch, etc…nothing major, however necessary to make the car roadworthy. The Fuchs are in very good condition with no curbing or scratches, the Goodyear tires are brand new as of last year and have no miles on them yet. Everything in the car works 100% including all gauges and accessories. -Interior- The interior is in excellent condition, seats are like new, the carpets are clean and free of any tears or excessive wear and the headliner is free of any rips or tears. The original Blaupunkt radio is still installed. -Engine & Transmission- The original, numbers matching engine runs extremely well, it has been fully rebuilt in September 2012 (including new bearings, seals, valve guides, head studs, piston rings etc, etc...) with no miles put on the car since. The heat exchangers have been replaced with brand new units at the time of rebuild. The transmission has also benefited from a new Sachs clutch which was installed at the time as the engine was out and is good to go. This 911 is free on any liens is ready for a new home. Please note that even though the majority of work has been completed and this car is well on it’s way to being 100% it still requires some minor work to make it roadworthy (such as the aforementioned brakes). With a little more work this Porsche will bring years of reliable service to it’s new owner. -TERMS OF SALE- I have full faith in the quality of this vehicle and confidence in the accuracy of it’s description, unfortunately disclaimers have become part of life these days hence the following Buyers are more than welcome, and even encouraged to inspect the vehicle in person BEFORE the auction ends.
