This vehicle was traded in on a new car and is in NEED OF ENGINE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. The customer stated that they took it to a BMW dealer because it had a ticking noise in the engine. The service department advised them that it was okay to drive and a short time later the car stop running. After further inspection by another repair facility it was determined that the engine had broken a timing chain. The severity of the internal damage has not been determined however the customer chose not to fix it and traded it in on a new car. As before stated we do not know the the extent of the engine damage so to be safe we are selling this car to be in need of a possible engine replacement. With all of this being said according to Carfax this car has had regular service and maintenance up until the point that it quit running. This vehicle IS BEING SOLD WITH NO RESERVE. If you have the mechanical repair ability or a friend that does this could make someone an inexpensive luxury car or a nice profit. CONDITION: EXTERIOR: The exterior has the following cosmetic flaws.... Light hail damage, about a 6 inch light crease and scratch above the right rear wheel, right ground effect behind the right front wheel has had light but poor repair, front valance around the right fog light is broken, and chip on left corner of front bumper trim. The maybe some other light dings or scratches but overall for an 11 year old car the exterior looks fair. INTERIOR: Average wear and tear. No burns or tears however needs a good cleaning. DRIVE TRAIN: The timing chain at the least is broken. Engine will not start or run. The timing chain cover and oil pan were removed for inspection. Drive-train unknown. Tires have about 70-80% tread. SHIPPING and PAYMENT: $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of the end of the auction. If deposit has not been received within 48 hours of the end of the auction the vehicle will be re-listed, no exceptions. Balance due upon pick up. Vehicle must be picked up or paid in full within 10 days of the end of the auction. All shipping must be paid for by the winning bidder.
