Vehicle Detail
This van has been amazingly dependable over the last 13 years. Recently the automatic transmission developed a problem and will need attention if you intend to drive the car from here on. It only shifts gears one time. I drove it home in second gear. Perhaps you could do the same, or have it towed. The van has a number of strong points: The tires are in excellent condition. The front tires have fewer than 5000 miles on them, and the rear tires fewer than 15000. The distributor is basically new. It was replaced on Saturday before the 3rd gear failed on Monday, after less than 100 miles. The aluminum wheels are in excellent condition. The rear driver side wheel is only about two years old. There is a fairly new oil pressure gauge, shown in the pictures. The radio/casette player is in excellent condition, about five years old. The A/C is cold. The main seals were replaced, so there are no oil leaks. There are a handful of issues: The sliding door handles are broken, as the pictures show. The carpet needs cleaning. The rear window motors need to be replaced. The transmission needs work, due to the failure of third gear. The body has dings and scratches, as the pictures show. The tachometer does not work; the needle is always resting in the position shown in the pictures. I have tried to remember the good and bad in order to list it here. At the same time, the car is being sold "as is," with no representation of its future reliability or usefulness. Ask whatever questions you have and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
