Vehicle Detail

Selling our Classic 1965 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia- The 65 ghia retains all the original charm of the early cars, including beautiful chrome overrider bumpers, small tail lamps, bullet front signals, painted dash, low back seats, and beautiful body lines. Quite a collectible car, these are getting quite difficult to find in this condition. This has been my wife's daily commuter until last week when she picked up her new mini, and has always been kept in the parking garage or under covered parking. The car starts easily, runs smooth, accellerates easily (quite peppy), tracks straight and stops correctly. The car has a nice smooth idle, and engine does not smoke. Engine professionally rebuilt at a vw specialty shop here in town, and has approx 10k miles on it since the rebuild. Nice and tight running car. Vehicle was repainted once in the 1980s, in the original two tone. We are the second family to own this car. We have the original owners manual and original window sticker for the car. The spare tire is the original bias ply whitewall. We have the original tire chains that came with the car for the snow. The paint has all the typical imperfections consistent with a car that is driver daily on public roads. It would need to be repainted if you wanted to show the car. The paint looks respectable enough for a daily driver though. The car is unusually rust free, including all those ghia trouble spots like rocker panels, under the nose, under the battery, and the floor pans themselves. This is a very solid car, and that is the reason I bought after looking at many other more rusty cars. Very nice chrome and aluminum trim bits. This car is sure to please and gets lots of compliments everywhere we take it. Great for a sunday afternoon cruise-in.
