Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1977 Dodge W-200/M880 military truck. This M880 is all original and not been messed with. It has the original military forest camo paint and markings on the truck. All of the numbers match that I have found. The truck seems to have very little surface rust on the body panels although there are a few dings here and there from its age and a few drilled out holes where military equipment was mounted. Cab and doors are in great shape as well as the interior. The seat back vynal is torn up on the driver side from years of use but this is a very cheap seat to have redone. All lights and signals work, heat and defrost work as well. Windsheild is crack but I drive it that way. It has a strong, good running 318 V-8 with a 2 barrel carb that is mounted to a 727 torqueflight 3sp. dodge trans. which makes plenty of power. It has 4:10 gears and full time 4 wheel drive which means this thing can crawl through about anything. When the government bought these trucks they had them retrofitted with a heavier suspension so even though the truck is titled at 3/4 ton it has been bulked up to 1 and 1/4 ton by adding leaf springs by the government. I broke the drive shaft a year or so ago and decided to take the front drive axles out to make it a 2 whell drive which has saved me a little on gas and tires but with the shaft repaired it would go back to 4x4. As far as new parts go, I had the rearend rebuilt a year ago with new seals and everything, at that time I also had new brakes put on the back. The truck has three brand new Yokohama Geolander ATS tires on it with less than 50 miles on them. I was waiting until the next month for the 4th but ended up in the hospital. I love having this old truck around but I just spent a month in the hospital and have lots of medical bills I have to get paid so it must go. I have tried to be truthful about the truck...happy bidding!
