My wife and I are selling our 1 owner Honda Civic. Wife bought car new out of college in 2000. The good: It is a 1 owner Honda Civic with a great reputation and reasonably priced parts. The bad: Brakes- Most likely will fix themselves by driving for a few months- surface rust from sitting in New England for 1.5 years. This needs to be priced into your bid incase it doesn't "fix itself". Alternator- No longer working- as of 2 months ago. From reading in forums, Honda alternators will fail if they sit for a few months. The bearings rust in place and then fail when motor is started. Car runs perfectly when battery is charged on charger. Timing Belt Replacement- Timing belt is due to be replaced. Car runs perfectly as is. However, the belt needs to be replaced per Honda maintenance schedule. If you dont replace the belt, it will fail and your car will be worthless. Dent in driver fender- it is what it is. Less than our $500 deductible to fix... we didnt bother. I have the hub cap in the car. Cigarette burn- small burn in seat. Car doesnt smell like smoke at all! Wife quite 5 years ago. I was originally asking $3500 for car. Realizing that was too high... I am setting this auction at $2500 to see where it goes. Pictures were taken last summer... but represent car well. -Matt
