Vehicle Detail

Condition: This is an extremely clean car. There are a couple small dents like those of door-dings and there is a scratch on the back of the passenger-side mirror. Otherwise the body has excellent paint and to my knowledge is completely rust free. This car has never been exposed to storm damage such as hail or flooding. This car runs perfectly and is the best car I have ever owned. It was involved in a local accident a few years ago that required body repair to the front quarter-panel. All repair was professionally done using original equipment parts. You can not tell that repair work was done. History: This car was purchased new and is still owned by the original retired couple who purchased the car. It has been located in Davenport Iowa and has been stored in a garage since it was purchased. The miles on the car are predominantly highway miles related to traveling cross country to visit kids and grandkids. The car has received all regular maintenance and except for normal routine things like tires, brakes, struts, and batteries, it has never needed any major maintenance. We have gotten highway mileage at 30+ mpg and city mileage in the mid to low 20s.On Jan-02-13 at 13:19:55 PST, seller added the following information: Questions from bidders: 1. What is your buy-it-now price? Answer: I chose not to use a buy-it-now price and thus allow the general market to determine what it is worth. I put a very low initial price on the car because I simply want to get it off my driveway after I purchased a new one (which is just like this old one because I liked this one so much). Given the condition of this car, Blue Book prices list this well above the current bid. It will be very easy to pick this up or arrange delivery as it is located right off the primary east/west interstate (I-80) about 170 miles west of Chicago. 2. Has the timing belt ever been changed, I want to drive it home to Chicago and I'm concerned about reliability? Answer: To my knowledge, the timing belt has never been changed. While I have changed the oil at various places, including at the Toyota dealer, I don’t recall them suggesting that the timing belt be changed but I agree with you it would probably be appropriate – I hadn’t thought about it. The car runs great and I personally would have no reservation jumping in and driving it straight to Denver to visit my kids. I can’t imagine there would be any problem driving to the Chicago area. This car has been problem free since I purchased it new.
