Vehicle Detail

Here is a rare opportunity. I have available for sale a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback GT 390 4v 4speed car. This is a project that is not for the novice. The S-code fastback GTs are highly sought after by FORD enthusiasts and here is a chance to get one 'on the cheap' since you'll have to perform the restoration. She was wrecked in the front-end a few years ago and has a salvage KY title. The car presently has a nice 302 and 4-speed in it AND comes with a complete 390 4v, too. It has front disk brakes. I have been unable to confirm the date codes on this 390, please consider it just a 390 complete core engine. The front clip was damaged substantially during the wreck and the sale COMES WITH A DONOR FRONT CLIP! The donor clip seems to be straight and true. Rear half of the car seems to be pretty straight and very useable. I am also including 2 new front fenders for the car. This fastback should be worth $35k - $45k depending upon your attention to detail with the restoration. If the car does not sell, I will be starting the restoration toward next year. I am just running a lot further behind than I thought I would. More pictures and zoom, etc available here at Photobucket -> http://s1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj548/MuscleCarRescue/1967%20S-code%20Mustang%20Fastback%204spd/ Codes: VIN - 7T02S21xxxx body - 63B color - 1 trim - 6G date - 17C DSO - 32 Axle - 1 Trans - 5 Translation - 390 4v GT 2+2 Fastback, Luxury Interior, Lime Gold Metallic, Lt Ivy Gold and Gold Crinkle Vinyl, 3.00:1 conventional, 4 speed manual. Note that there is a 9-inch rear in this car that looks to have been chrome at some point in the past. Drop me a line and we can make an appointment to review the car. Rosedale, MD is in East Baltimore near the northern end of the 95/895 tunnel. Marti report for the car will come with the sale and I also had Marti make a new door tag for you. I've had a lot of questions about my username on EBAY. No, I am not a business, I am simply a retiree that plays with 60s and 70s FORDs. Therefore, I do not have links to financial institutions for loans, etc - and I accept cash. If you'd like me to deliver the car and the parts for you, I can with my own trailer and will charge $1.75 per loaded mile in the Eastern US.On Dec-31-12 at 13:40:02 PST, seller added the following information: * Updates * Many, Many phone calls and emails concerning the fastback. Some of the common questions here: (I can't post some of them because people are sending their phone numbers, etc and the numbers would show in the listing): The VIN number on the door tag matches the title and matches the Marti report and the new plate. The front aprons are destroyed as you can probably see in the pictures. The new front clip seems to be very square, but is not brand-new and therefore will require a small amount of work. The donor front clip was cut at the top of the A-pillars and behind the front frame rails, so you get the entire front frame section, the entire dash, cowl, torque box area, etc with the replacement clip. I figured the hot ticket would be to attach the replacement clip via A-pillar and rockers, then replace a full, one-piece floor pan (abt $450) to make the repair nearly seamless and structurally sound. No, the 69 Charger in one of the pics is not for sale. Unfortunately, I cannot take a Harley in trade. As much as I like them and used to ride, my wife would kill me. Yes, some of the other cars are for sale - for the moment, please check my other auction for the 67 Fairlane Pro-Touring project. At this point, there are over 10,000 views and over 300 watchers. With those numbers, it's just a matter of when someone hit's the 'Buy it Now', so don't delay and miss out if you are destined to be the new owner! Thanks! On Jan-01-13 at 08:28:19 PST, seller added the following information: * Note - if you are bidding from a long distance and do not see what you need to see to assure your comfort, please consider contacting any body shop, restoration facility that has a good knowledge of classic Mustangs - and hire them for an hour or so to come over and review the car. I would be happy to show them around and they can feed back any knowledge to you directly. Make sure you hire someone in the Baltimore metropolitan area. I continue to have calls and messages at least hourly about various details and some are from great distances. Feel free to send over an agent... I know how tough it can be to judge a car from a distance on EBAY.On Jan-01-13 at 10:29:38 PST, seller added the following information: In response to another question (that included a phone number, so I cannot post it), even with the poor repair work done on the front aprons many years ago and the accident, I was able to peel back the driver's side front apron and see both of the double-stamped VIN numbers that match the rest of the car and paperwork. They will be visible and available to the purchaser at pickup/delivery.
