1969 JAGUAR XKE 2+2 FIXED HEAD COUPE WITH 4 SPEED MANUAL GEARBOXThis car was sold new in california in 1970 . Sometime later it was brought to the south central east coast US. It was put into dry storage in the early 1990's where it has been stored until recently . The original colors were pale blue with navy blue interior , the interior is still all factory original . Before it went into storage , there were plans to paint the car , it was put in primer to paint and then stored . It still has the original matching # engine The car is very straight and original , inspection shows it to be all the original factory body panels and we find no evidence of ever having any accident damage and it appears to be all metal with no body filler . The only rust we find on the car is right below the battery where acid leaked down and just some very light surface rust from storage ... overall , the rest of the car is very rust free . The car runs very well (please watch the video included) . It has good oil pressure , no smoke , shifts into gear and drives but the brakes will need attention before it can be driven on the road . It does stop with the emergency brake . The fuel tank is disconnected and will need to be cleaned out . The heater core was previously removed (included) to replace and has been bypassed . It comes with the original owners manual , jack , spare tire , keys and some old service records and has a clear title . As projects go , we would consider this to be an easy one compared to some we have seen offered lately . Overall , this car has many positives and we think it is a very good car to work with .
