OK, here we go...this 1966 Mercedes 230SL was a complete running and driving car that was disassembled several years ago by the previous owner in order to complete a total restoration. He carefully disassembled this car and stored the parts in boxes for future use. He was a car collector and had several projects going at the time. Somehow, during the restoration process, the original chassis was disposed of, so the owner was left with a load of original parts in very good condition. We recently acquired these parts and now they are available for you to purchase in this auction.

NEARLY EVERY PART NEEDED TO BUILD A CLASSIC BENZ-SL IS INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION!

There are some new parts (sheet metal & seals), but the vast majority of the parts are original and in very good condition!

The included engine is a non-matching 130.980 Model 280SL/SE engine that works great!

The included transmission is a 4-speed manual that works great!

The side glass and windshield are in very good condition!

This 1966 MB 230SL parts treasure includes the rare AND original power steering pump and gear box!

The interior wood trim, vinyl trim and seats are in very good condition!

The mileage listed in this auction is from the mileage shown on the original speedo's odometer at the time the car was disassembled.

Not every single part (like carpet) is here, but almost everything is. Other known missing items are: the Fuel/Temp Gauge and the Heater Control Levers.
