Its more than a project because she fires right up and you can drive her down the road right away. The conversion was done correctly, engine fires right up, has performance 4 barrel Carter carb. Litterally a pump or two of the gas pedal and a little choke she starts and runs smooth. I have listed several Jeeps over the years, take a look at my feedback and out of all these I have yet to see a Jeep run so smoothly. This Jeep fired up even after stored and not run for over 3 years. It was kept inside, owner wanted to complete a full restore on it but just ran out of time and devotion. You can jump in it and go, its perfect for putting around town or exploriing the back roads, maybe using it as a hunting rig. Its a perfect platform to use it as a restoration. the frame is solid with no cracks or rust wholes anywhere, the engine and transmission runs and shift smoothly, axles and driveshafts are good too. So you know exactly what you are bidding on, its a 1981 Jeep CJ-7 with a Chevrolet 350 V8 engine conversion done. This engine was pulled from a 1980's Corvette or Iroc Camaro. The owner verified numbers on engine when he bought it a few years back. The transmission is supposidly a B&M with sifter. I have personally drove it and it seems to run/idle smooth and shift as it should. No weird clunking or other odd noises. There is one small leak I could see, I think its either a transmisison cooler line or powersteering line, but over the course of 3 years of sitting the pool in the garage was smaller than a dollar bill. The frame is solid with no rust anywhere to be found. The body has its share of rust in quarter panels, fenders, drivers side floor boards, etc. This by no means is a restored Jeep but its also not a flintstones Jeep either. Jeep comes with some spare knobs, dash switches, and metal sheeting for floor boards.
