Vehicle Detail

What I have up for sale is an original General Motors built Electric Chevy S10 truck For those that don't know , GM built only a limited number of these trucks using the propulsion system from the famous EV1 electric car .This particular truck was originally purchased by the US Air Force and it came with Lead-Acid batteries but I had it converted to NiMH type batteries when I brought it 2007 . At that time the APCM , Filter Capacitors , and the A/C systems were all replaced ,repaired or upgraded . This truck is an absolute joy to drive . Quick off the line, quiet , zippy through traffic, best of all no gas required . The range is about as far as the new Chevy Volt will take you on a charge : about 35 miles . Included with the truck are two large paddle inductive charging stations , like the ones you may have seen at places like Costco or Lowes . Most of the old public charging stations you find will still with this truck and you can charge for free . With a little luck you could install one of the included charging stations where you work and really cut down on your commute costs . The only things not perfect with the body are two small dents , one on the right front fender and right rear lower corner of the bed . The seat is torn or worn out in one spot as you can see in the picture . The front end fan buffer failed years ago but I work around that by simply switching on the fan manually every time I charge . Also , the battery pack cool fan , GM part # 49524108 , has failed recently and this inhibits complete charging . This part is still available from GM . On Dec-06-12 at 21:10:40 PST, seller added the following information: I incorrectly listed the GM part # for the battery pack cooling fan . The correct # is 52494108 . Also , since the truck is being driven the actual mileage may be slightly higher than what I listed when picked up . On Dec-11-12 at 16:23:43 PST, seller added the following information: Up to this point , no one has asked me about charging the truck . Two charging stations are included , and the winning bidder should immediately start installing a 30 Amp, (40 Amp would be better ) 240 Volt circuit in their garage or wherever else they intend park the truck when its charging . The charging stations can be installed outside or inside . It's imperative that the charging station is installed and operating before the truck gets driven even a few miles. Also , as I mentioned , the battery pack cooling fan needs to be replaced . It's accessible from underneath the truck without removing the battery pack . Complete instructions and tips will given to the new owner .
