Vehicle Detail
Offered for sale is my 1986 Buick Regal T-Type. Purchased the vehicle in April 2012 from an attorney in South Carolina for $11,500, who owned the car since about 2006. I immediately invested another $6-7,000 on new tires, springs, shocks, rotors, brake assemblies, and stereo to make this car even nicer. I'm still gathering receipts but estimate I'm into this car around $17k. Previous owner had a quality repaint done on the car and only put around 1k miles on the car during his ownership. The car has been stored in a warehouse or in a garage at least 95% of the time since repaint and is in excellent condition. The bumpers have been painted and Grand National wheels have been added. The original T-Type "turbine" wheels did not come with the car when I purchased and are not available. This car's exterior looks exactly like a Grand National save for the white paint and the hood emblem. The car is beautiful and stunning in its current configuration. A real head turner. This is a highly optioned car with zero rust and includes the G80 rear end, blackout package, power seat, windows, locks, mirrors, cruise control, t-tops, and the rare digital dash. The interior is burgandy, smells great, is in excellent condition, and doesn't appear to have ever been smoked in. AC was charged prior to my purchase and blows cold, heat is hot as it should be. I upgraded the stereo with a new head unit (with Pandora capability, USB/IPod input, and remote control), 5 channel amp, and JL Audio speakers including a 12" subwoofer. Unfortunately, the engine started smoking and power output went down after about 2k miles of ownership. When she ran, she ran well and ran fast, fast, fast. My mechanic performed a power down check and he believes cylinder no. 2 has a bad piston or piston ring. I had every intention of pulling the motor and rebuilding, but I've not had much luck finding a job post military career and need to sell to pay bills. So the engine will most likely require a rebuild as I understand it. Other minor blemishes include nonworking power antenna (kept in up position and motor disconnected), slow power windows, and nonfunctioning cruise control (could be a fuse, haven't attempted to fix). The car/engine appears to be mostly stock except for aftermarket exhaust, cat converter delete, upgraded chip and injectors. Again, hate to sell this car but need to take care of other obligations ASAP. Clear title ready to be signed over and willing to entertain reasonable offers. Plan to offer the car locally as well so I reserve the right to end auction at any time. Thanks for looking and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
