1964 Chevrolet Custom El Camino V8 Automatic Exceptional Inside & Out!! Estate sale for this very clean and original first year El Camino. We were told a nut and bolt restoration, runs & drives very well has vintage air conditioning that works well. The paint is excellent and the interior completely restored. The owner claims it to be a very comprehensive and thorough restoration over a period several years, on a very nice Texas rust free car to begin with. This car originally hailed from the GM production plant in LA. It is wearing its original colors of Ember Red exterior with Red vinyl interior. It is equipped with its original 283 V8 engine mated to the powerglide transmission. The bed was tastefully sprayed with color matched Speedliner durable coating. The trim plate is attached to the firewall (pictured) with the original rivets. The VIN plate is located on the driver door pillar (pictured). I am not by any means an El Camino expert but have a good eye for automobiles and this automobile is very nice. Drives wonderfully and very tight. It appears to be original down to the hubcaps. Lets call the exterior an 8 and the interior an 8 and everyone will be very satisfied with this Chevy, I think its much nicer than that. Originality was preserved in the restoration, the word Custom was assigned to the vehicle by the manuafacturer in 1964 and identifies it as top of the line.
