Selling my 1967 Cougar XR7, with less than 500 miles on rebuilt 289 engine, (built to 302 specs). Front suspension was rebuilt at the same time. Runs very strong, drives very nice, I would not be afraid to drive anywhere. Power drum brakes in excellent working condition. New windshield, with new rubber on front and rear glass, new dash pad. Typical rust has been repaired to rear filler panel behind back glass, on right & left corners, were cut out and replaced.There is also small rust areas below right & left qtr. glasses, front edge of hood, and small areas on lower left qtr. panel, & lower L. fender. Slight rust on R & L torque boxes. Needs paint, clear coat on previous paint job is flaking. Interior is all there, but in need of repair. As mentioned, new dash pad, carpet in good condition, door panels, in fair condition, seat covers need replaced , L. rear interior panel is cracked and in need of replacement. Rear taillight sequential turn signals are in excellent working condition, it has the typical vacuum problem with headlight doors, go up, but need help going down. I have owned this car for three + years with the intention of restoring it. Since starting on it I just do not have the time or place to finish it. This is an excellent, solid Cougar for someone to restore, there a very few of these first year Cougars around. With the addition of being an XR7, makes it even fewer.
