Vehicle Detail
Nice looking, low mileage '70 CB-750 KO bike that runs and rides fine. If you are looking for a rider bike that you can restore later to satisfy your collector needs or just a bike like you used to have back in the day, look no further. The reserv is low so bid freely knowing this bike can be yours. The frame number is CB750-1037697 and the engine # is CB750E-1037855 (original engine). I have pictures of the frame and engine number if you need them, just email. Electric start works fine and the kickstart works too but she is cold blooded. There is no blue exhaust smoke but the carbs need a vacuum gauge sync to be perfect. The gears shift fine and there is no slipping. Miles say 5638 and that is purported to be original mileage but unfortunately the previous owner stored it in an unheated outbuilding here in the Seattle area so there is surface rust in areas (see the pictures and zoom in to enlarge). All the wear items like peg rubbers and shift rubber and handlebar ends support a 5000 mile bike, the little black end lever rubbers are still there. All the lighting works including the hi/low headlight and brake and taillight. Clean and clear Washington Title in hand, current license plate and current tabs too. In-person or 3rd party inspections are welcomed before bidding ends just call me at 206 725-2355 9-5 PST to arrange. A $1000 deposit is due within 3 business days to secure your interest in this motorcycle after winning it and full balance is due within 10 business days after auction end. Failure to follow these terms will constitute abandonment. If you are mailing payment just mail it Priority mail with signature return receipt. Your new bike is located in Seattle, WA 98188 and I would prefer the winner to pick up the bike or have your shipper pick it up but if you need some time to arrange shipping after you win it I'll store your new bike in my garage for 30 days with full payment until you can come get it or arrange shipping. It would be beneficial to both parties to talk live after the auction ends to arrange final details so expect a phone call Sunday night after you win it. If you've never bought a motorbike on eBay before email me and we'll talk to get your research questions answered so you will feel comfortable before you bid. Since this auction ends on a Sunday night when everyone will be home there will be last minute bidders trying to steal your new vintage CB750 away from you so bid wisely and use ebay's Proxy Bid system to your advantage.. Good luck and thank you for winning!!!!On Dec-09-12 at 15:19:30 PST, seller added the following information: Ok, let me answer some questions to verify the bike: Front tire is marked “Dunlop Gold Seal F6” and “3.25-19” then “4 p.r.” then further down the tire “S.P. S5L 201” and under that “L-18”. Rear tire is marked “Dunlop Gold Seal K87 Mark II” then “4.00-18” and then “4 p.r.” then the word “Safety”. Further down the tire it is marked “S.R. U4 K208 K-130”. Tread wear is consistent with a 5k mile bike. I inspected the underside of the airbox and I find some cracks near the wingnut holes. The side covers I have never taken off and I’ll leave that to the new owner. I did feel all the way around the side covers and they feel solidly mounted and I felt all 6 (3+3) tabs so I’m sure there are no broken tabs. The front brake master cylinder and switch gear is painted black but faded. The kill switch is black. The final drive chain has an old style master link and the rear sprocket has 45 teeth. I can’t see the number stamped on the front sprocket. Every other chain link is marked “Whitney 50 USA”. Hope this helps, Jim
