This is an extraordinarily solid, original, 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible. It would be a great candidate for restoration (or it would be a fun driver as it is.) The odometer reads 94,126 and the previous owner told me that it is the correct original mileage. It runs and drives very well and has a clear title. HISTORY: This car has always been a southern car -- it was bought new in Texas and came to Florida in the 80’s. The interior is completely original and the previous owner said that the paint is original as well. I have inspected the car and I think most of the paint is original but it looks to me like the left rear fender might have been repainted at some point. He also said the engine and transmission are original. BODY / FLOORS / FRAME: You can see in the pictures that the body, frame and undercarriage are incredibly solid and original. I have never found another old convertible Mustang that was more solid than this one. The body panel fit is excellent. The bumpers and chrome look original. There are typical chips and scratches as you would expect, but it would be difficult to find a better car for restoration. MECHANICAL: This car runs and drives very well. The engine compartment is correct. The transmission and brakes are very good. The tires are brand new. INTERIOR / TOP: The interior is all original and in nice condition. The convertible top needs to be replaced, but the electric top mechanism works excellent. The rear window in the top has separated along the zipper. ELECTRICAL: All of the lights, turn signals, wipers, gauges, etc. work perfectly. The radio seems to work but it is difficult to tune in any radio stations so it might need to be repaired. The top works excellent. RESERVE PRICE / BUY IT NOW: I set what I think is a very reasonable reserve price. To keep the auction fair for everyone, I don’t disclose the reserve price. I also do not have a buy it now price. I prefer to let the auction run to completion and let the market decide what price is fair. The balance must be paid by cash, cashier’s check, or wire transfer within seven days of the end of the auction. Any cashier’s checks must clear my bank before the vehicle can be released. If the winning bidder fails to pay in accordance with these requirements, I may, at my option, make second-chance offers or re-list/remarket the vehicle and the deposit will be forfeited by the bidder to help cover the extra expenses. I retain the right to end the listing early. The sale location is Bell, Florida, Florida law governs, and venue lies exclusively in Gilchrist County, Florida. I am a long-time classic car enthusiast and a licensed automobile dealer (Classic Investment Motorcars Inc.). This means that we must complete standard sales and transfer forms, and if you live in Florida or want to pick up the car personally in Florida I must collect the applicable sales tax and tag/title fees from you. If the vehicle is shipped out of Florida by common carrier or a shipping company I will not be required to collect the sales tax.
