Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra, 4.6l V8 engine, RWD, manual transmission red with black leather interior. So here is the story: I am an attorney by trade. One of my past clients was an auto mechanic somewhat down on his luck: he got hit with bogus charges that got dismissed as soon as a new DA was assigned and the cop involved got "transferred" to the Housing Authority. I felt truly bad for the guy and tried all sorts of things to help him pay his bill. One was to take on this vehicle. Now this client claimed he had a buyer for the car lined up for an amount that would have almost covered his bill. So he signed the title over to me and I credited him that amount. Well, the mystery buyer never materialized and my client went AWOL. My client also revealed to me after the fact that the timing belt was broken and the car would not run. Now I am ready to be rid of the thing and take my losses! This vehicle currently will not run properly. I have not had it inspected, but I am told it is a problem with the timing belt. I do not intend to spend money having it looked at myself, but I am happy to allow you to have it inspected before you buy so you know what you are getting. In fact the car is parked at a mechanic's shop co-owned by a fellow lawyer, but I can also recommend several local mechanics (NOT the aforementioned client). Cosmetically the car is in "good" shape and has the potential to be a real smoker. This is, after all, a Cobra we're talking about. I have provided photographs of all the cosmetic defects I could find. This is an EXCELLENT "project car" and could net a crafty mechanic a solid profit--or make a great Christmas present for a new driver or old collector in your family! I am looking to MOVE this vehicle and will consider any and all reasonable offers, PERIOD! Do not hesitate for a SECOND to make me an offer. Buyer pays for shipping or costs associated with pickup--including any local repairs if you want to drive it away. Thanks for bidding and GOOD LUCK!
