1999 Saturn SC Special "White Hot Edition" In 1998 and 1999, prospective buyers of a red or white SC2 had the option of purchasing the "Black Top Coupe Package". The models were referred to as the "Red Hot Coupe" or "White Hot Coupe", based on the exterior color. The package came with a black roof panel, black outside rear view mirrors, black emblems, white face gauges and black accented teardrop wheels. These are extremely rare. Production Numbers on these limited editions: Model year 1998: White - 213 Red - 657 Model year 1999: White - 285 Red - 284 This Saturn has been a great car for my family, but sorry to say its time for it to go to a new owner. It has 190000 miles and the engine is starting to smoke out the tail pipe. It has some age and normal wear and tear (see photos). I am disclosing everything negative about the car so you can make an educated decision. The car does run and drives. Gets great gas mileage and has plenty of power. Just smokes out the tail pipe. Interior is in good shape. Driver seat has the most wear (see photo) Could be an excellent project car for someone with the skills and desire considering its rarity and sharp looks. The tires have about 1/4 tread. The cd player does act up once in awhile and the volume knob is missing (see photo) The windshield wipers have an on/off switch under the dash. I purchased a wiper switch but its to involved for me. I will include the switch with the car. Sometimes the power locks dont work and sometimes they do work. May be a bad or loose connection.
