1971 Opel GT Stock 1.9L, 4 speed transmission Running car with extra complete parts car (1973) & MANY parts including another engine, transmission, rearend Up for sale is a nice Opel GT that had restoration started in 1990, rusted areas replaced with components from donor cars as needed. Custom basecoat/clearcoat paint '86-'88 Cadillac Autumn Maple. Custom interior and upholstery (Gray leather/cloth), a new clutch and minor mechanical work was done before Opel was put in storage in 1996. All chrome and light hardware included, but not installed. Hayashi Racing Talon wheels -- 14" on the Opel now. Opel has been in storage since 1996. Body is rust free with only a few flaws in the paint occuring during storage. All bumpers, lights and exterior chrome needs to be installed. Engine compartment needs cleaned/detailed. Engine was started in July -- runs smooth and quiet for an Opel. Carburation has been changed over to Weber 32/36 + electric fuel pump... fuel tank does NOT leak... Brakes are functional and car is drivable ( I have had it on locat streets -- lights need to be installed )... SOLID floorboards, rockers panels, no cracks in dash ( dash has been recovered )... CLEAN Minnesota title ( not salvage )... New battery May 2012... In addition to the above complete 1971 Opel GT... the following also is included.. A) 1973 Opel GT -- complete parts car... Odometer reads 16754 which I believe to be original mileage, but have no way of verifying.... This car is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied... Car is being advertised locally, so I reserve the right to withdraw before the auction ends... A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is due within 24 hours of the auction close... The remaining balance is due within 7 days from the close of the auction... Acceptable payment methods are bank checks, personal check, or cash... Cars/parts will not be released until check clears the bank... I must be paid before the cars/parts are picked up or shipped...
