1947 Chevy Thriftmaster Rat Rod Shop TruckAs much as I hate too the time has come to let my baby go and move on to a new project. I have enjoyed this truck for over a year now, and its time to let someone else enjoy it. This thing is a driver, and boy does it get the looks. It has made multiply 4 hour trips to Pigeon Forge and back, I have put a couple thousand miles on it since was completed, not scared to drive anywhere. Cruise's up the interstate at 70 like its nothing. The body is sitting on a 1989 s-10 frame, it is lowered with springs and drop spindles, the front tires rub just a hair if you turn the wheel all the way one way or the other, it has a 350 with a mild cam in it, headers, new Holley 600 Carb, HEI distributer, the engine came out of a 79 chevy truck, I pulled the heads off and checked everything, put a new Lanati voodoo cam and lifters in it and put it back together with new gaskets and seals. The heads are powdercoated to look like aluminum, wouldnt believe the people it fools, oil pan, pulleys, timing cover, and brackets have also been powdercoated. The intake was powdercoated orange but didnt like, so it got some rattle can black. It has a 5 speed tranny out of a mid 90's 2wd chevy silverado, Willwood clutch master cylinder and new slave cylinder. Has power steering and power disc brakes all from the s10. Has new Northern aluminum radiator. Has late model Jeep head lights, all running lights, turn signals, brake lights and head lights work. 20in Rockstars with almost new tires. This isnt a show truck by no means, it has dents, dings, rust, rattles and squeaks, but in pretty good shape to be a rat rod. I don't wanna sale the truck, but is does have a reasonable reserve.
