GENERAL TRUCK INFO: 2008 Ford F250 XLT Supercab 4x4 with redesigned and significantly improved 6.4L diesel motor and auto trans. NEAR-SHOWROOM CONDITION. Purchased in May from a private company in Georgia, where it was driven exclusively since new (CARFAX verified). Used for sales routes that required lots of highway driving, and the 173,000 miles on the odometer are about 85% highway. OIL CHANGES EVERY 3,000 MILES SINCE NEW (CARFAX verified). With proper care, the upgraded 6.4L diesel in this truck will operate dependably for 500,000 MILES OR MORE - that's ANOTHER 15 TO 20 YEARS OF AVERAGE USE BEFORE MAJOR SERVICE! This truck occasionally towed a single-axle trailer loaded with sales displays. The loaded trailer weighed about 1,200 pounds. THE TOWING CAPACITY OF THIS TRUCK IS 12,000 POUNDS - TEN TIMES THE LOAD ACTUALLY TOWED. That's why we bought it - a southern truck in great condition with no rust, with a heavy-duty, well-maintained drive train, that carried no loads and drove 85% highway miles! INTERIOR: XLT trim with medium stone interior, power windows and locks, remote start, remote locks, cruise, air, chrome dashboard bezels, CD, multiple power-ports, carpeted floor, dash-mounted trailer controller (aftermarket). No rips or stains in fabric. No wear-marks in carpet. Rubber all-weather mats in good shape. Manual-adjust seats. No cigarettes ever in any of the ash trays. EXTERIOR AND MECHANICAL: This salesman's truck was configured to make a BIG impression. Full factory chrome package including front grill, both bumpers, wheels and hubcaps. NO scratches in any of the chrome. The oxford white body is 99% perfect with NO DENTS. NO COLLISIONS (CARFAX verified). NO RUST ANYWHERE including rocker seams, door drip corners, inner lower door seams and all the other secret places. The truck carried only lightweight boxes filled with retail inventory. THE BED HAS NEVER SEEN A HEAVY LOAD - PAINT UNDER THE LINER IS NOT EVEN SCRATCHED (see pix of the bed beneath the plastic liner). Tailgate has hideaway step with swing-up bannister (see pix). Engine oil (4 gallons) was changed September 2012 to 10,000-mile-interval Amsoil synthetic. Engine uses ZERO oil between changes. We power-flushed the transmission with our BG machine, but NEVER NOTICED ANY CHANGE IN THE COLOR OF THE FLUID. Of the 50 or so vehicles we have serviced with our BG unit, this was a first. It means that the trans was both serviced regularly (CARFAX verified), and never worked hard. We refilled the trans with Amsoil full synthetic trans fluid (Amsoil is premium priced, but the best professional fleet lubricants money can buy).IMPROVEMENTS: 1 Full heavy-duty ABS plastic bed liner including tailgate and sides ($500). See pix.2 TruXedo premium roll-back bed tonneau ($1,000). See pix. 3 Fuel economy package including a Superchips adjustable engine program and K&N filtercharger. >>> 16.5 current mpg (mixed use). <<< The program can be adjusted, downloaded or removed in minutes. The Superchips programmer and K&N filtercharger are included in the sale. Installed July 2012 ($600). 4 New FOMOCO OEM factory windshield with tint. Installed because of a stone chip August 2012 ($550).5 FACTORY NEW (NOT aftermarket) extendable trailer towing mirrors with power-adjust, turn signals and defrost. Installed September, 2012 ($1,200).6 FACTORY NEW CHROME FRONT BUMPER. There was a one-inch ding in the center of the original, so we installed a new FOMOCO bumper. The original bumper is still in great shape except for the small ding, and is included in the sale. Installed September, 2012 ($450).DEMERITS: A few small scratches (most have been retouched). Three pinholes in bottom panel on driver's seat. REASON FOR SALE: We bought this truck to haul an 8,000 pound trailer and load.
