Vehicle Detail

1972 Corvette Stingray – Numbers matching white with black interior – restoration completed Oct. 19, 2012. 350 cubic inch with turbo 400. 88K original miles (in storage at least 26 years). Zero miles since restoration. AC, power steering, power windows, power brakes, T-tops, pop-out rear window. Not absolutely perfect, but very close. My reserve is $17,000, less than half its NADA value. This car is VERY reasonably priced for its condition. If you buy this car and it’s not worth more than you pay for it, I’ll give you your deposit back. I’m that confident in this car. If you live close to Fort Wayne, IN, and you’d like to see the car, just send me an e-mail through this listing and we can schedule a date and time. The interior is in excellent condition - all original except new door panels and carpet. Seats have no tears; dash has no cracks; gauges very good. Original AM/FM radio works. All original instruments – even clock still works! All original glass – no cracks. New dome light & polished door sill plates, door weather seals, and T-top weather seals. Engine reassembled, completely stock except I upgraded it to hardened seats & bronze valve guides in the heads so you can use unleaded fuel. High-energy ignition system. Chrome valve covers & chrome timing cover (original valve covers & timing cover cleaned & repainted stock color come with car, as well as original working distributor and original chrome shielding). New aluminum radiator will handle up to 650 HP. Original Firestone bias-ply spare. Correct era Goodyear Polysteel radials. Original rims repainted. Original centers with new beauty rings. Original T-top storage bags & hold down straps. Anything that could be removed from the car was removed and then cleaned, sandblasted, & repainted. Stainless steel fasteners used everywhere possible to bolt things back to the car. This is just a partial listing of everything done to the car. Very clean, fully restored car in excellent condition. The NADA description for a High Retail Value car is: “This vehicle would be in excellent condition overall. It could be a completely restored or an extremely well maintained original vehicle showing very minimal wear. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are not in need of reconditioning. The interior would be in excellent condition.” This car meets that description. NADA value: low=$24K, mid=$32K, high=$42 + 5% with A/C. My reserve is $17,000, less than half its high retail value.
