Vehicle Detail

I think this is my 4th personal car I've sold through the years on eBay, but this is by far the nicest! I can't help but smile when I drive this car. It hugs corners like a roller coaster car on a rail, accelerates instantly at any speed, and has just the right growl from the engine. You know the AMG folks spent a while tuning the sound! I've only floored this car once to see what would happen - I was going about 50 MPH, floored it, the car did a small quick fishtail and VOOM. Yipes! Pure awesomeness. Oh and my buddy was in a Boxster beside me, I let him get his nose ahead before I floored it. Double fun! So why am I selling it? Have you seen the miles on this thing? Almost 10 years, and I've only put 25,270 miles on it. Shameful really. With the kids, I'm driving my SUV all over the place, and have little need for the sportscar. So I've finally decided that this car needs a good home and someone that will appreciate it for what it is - an awesome driving machine. This was the first model year for the hard top convertible. I bought it new when there was like a 9 month waiting list for these things, so I paid a premium and bought it from a Florida dealer and had it shipped out to San Diego. It has always had a garage and has never seen ice and snow. It did see a body shop once. 10 months after I bought it, some metal junk came flying off a truck, and hit my hood and windshield causing minor damage. Nine years after that, today, you still can't tell the hood was repaired (the windshield got replaced, of course). Just today, I got the car back from the dealer to fix a broken third brake light - it cracked, so I had it replaced. It got new windshield wipers too. The tires are all pretty new. Lots of tread on them, but be aware that these are high performance tires - really sticky, meaning really soft rubber, meaning they only last 12,000 miles tops. The trunk is big enough for a set of golf clubs in their bag and then some (see pics). The only paint scuff that I can see is on the left front fender/bumper, down low (see pic). There is one minor mechanical thing I never got fixed - the panorama room has an interior sun shade that slides back and forth manually. The grip wore away meaning it will slide open and not stay shut. That's annoying if you have the roof closed on a sunny day, so I stuck a wad of cardboard in the track to keep the sunshade closed. Comes with manual, two wireless key fobs and one slim wallet wireless key (basically, you put the slim wireless key in your wallet and then forget about it. From then on the car will open, start and lock for you while you have your wallet. Very nice). The AC is ice cold and works really well. There is no satellite radio, just AM/FM and 6 disk CD changer. I did replace the old analog handsfree phone system with a bluetooth phone adapter, so you can pair your phone with the car and use the car's handsfree phone system to answer and make calls. Here's a link to various repair records I have for it. Yes, the original price was $124,790 new. Frankly, it is a steal at the blue book price. Yeah, it is an older car, but it is so low miles that it has a lot of miles left in it. Meanwhile you get to drive a true super car (which at time of purchase was the fastest production car being sold with a 0-60 in 4.5 seconds). Ask if you have any questions!
