Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my Talon AWD, I need to make room and have to many projects in the mix. I just finished putting it back together. I bought it from someone several months ago and thought that I needed another AWD Talon. Its a solid car now that its been rebuilt. It has a lot of newer parts in it and a lot of parts that have been replaced or upgraded by myself and the previous owner. This is an LSD rear differential. ALL NEW: Newly built head (micropolished surface) have pics BC valves, springs, retainers, keepers bronze valve guides HKS 264/272 cams Stock cam gears Spark Plugs Walbro 190 fp Head Gasket Kit APR Head Studs Ross Pistons .020 over Timing Belt, WP, Pulleys Battery (NAPA) Manual Boost Controller (set @ 15 psi) Big 16G Turbo SlowBoy Racing Full Exhaust with O2 housing (Welded in) New Catalytic Converter Defi Boost and O2 Gauges K&N filter Rebuilt drive shaft with new u-joints ALL Fluids are new Steel Braided Clutch Line Short Shifter Aluminum Shifter bushings Upgraded Clutch/Flywheel CAR HAS ALL THE EMISSIONS PIECES STILL INSTALLED ON IT: (ie; catalytic converter, egr valve, o2 sensors) It'll pass emissions The car was not running when I bought it. It had aftermarket cam gears on it, and they were snapped in 1/2 and the timing belt was broke and had bent valves in the head. ALL of the valve train is new. And I put OE cam gears back on it. Also for what ever reason the car didn't have a passenger door panel, or the knee bolster(under dash panel) on the drivers side. I haven't been able to locate the ones I need yet. Its hard to get into 1st gear- it doesn't grind, it could have a syncro issue, I haven't had time to open up the transmission to see it if is that. All other gears work fine and are easy to shift in and out of. Also the previous owner removed the driveshaft bushings, I'm getting new replacements for them. The car is 21 years old, its not mint, its not pretty. It's a DSM, and its fun and its quick, with the minor mods it has the car runs in the low 13s in the quarter. I've spent time making it right, and not hacking on it, and unhacking whats been previously done to it. It's a good car for someone wanting to start wrenching on it, and modifying little by little. I've been an auto mechanic for 18 years and I've taken my time to make the car mechanically sound. Email me for more info or questions at rdostercamp@gmail.com
