Three Day auction!! Up for auction is a 1997 GMC K3500 Crew cab, 8' bed, 4x4. This has been a very good work truck that I've had for a few years. The truck is dependable and runs great, but is not a pampered beauty. I would rate it as between fair and good condition cosmetically. It has a 454 (7.4L) and overdrive transmission both original to the truck as far as I know. The engine runs well, has plenty of power, and has no leaks and burns no oil. Brakes are good and tight... both front and back replaced last year. The abs light comes on every once in awhile, but everything works fine. The 4 wheel drive works perfectly as does power steering. Mechanically the truck is very sound. It has aftermarket mufflers that end about mid length of the bed, not loud, but not quiet. Cosmetically the truck has some dents and dings...I've tried to show the overall condition in the pictures. The worst being a long scrape down the side of the bed on the driver's side. The hood has a couple dents and driver's fender has a dent. There is no major rust. The rockers, which are a common rust spot on these trucks, are solid. The driver's side front and back door have some rust spots at the bottom that need attention. I've shown them in the pictures. The interior is decent. Power windows all work, power seat works, power locks work. The air conditioning does not blow cold, but is all there and compressor kicks on...maybe just a leak. The windshield wipers have an intermittent problem, every great once in awhile they stop working but then resume. It has am/fm with cd player that works. Tilt and cruise. The leather interior is not great, but presentable. There are tears in the driver's seat bottom (pretty bad) and one on the pass side bottom. Back seat has no tears, but the leather is stained some. Carpet has stains but no tears or worn spots, headliner isn't bad, but is loose at windshield a little. If addressed soon it will be fine. The cover at the bottom of the steering column is missing. The tires have probably 50% tread left, but one is mismatched. It has Alcoa 16" aluminum rims that would polish up nicely...they are in good shape. Overall its a good dependable truck that is not bad for it's age. It's been a great work truck and hauls kids too!
