Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1991 G30 5.7L V8 Chevy Box truck. I am technically a third owner of this truck, second was my father who purchased it from a local Chevy dealer in 2008 and transferred the title over to me in 2011. My father had a small antique business so we used this truck primarily to transport old furniture. In four years that we had it we only put 4,500 miles on it, and the last 1000 miles i added just this month when I helped a friend move all her stuff from Phila to Massachusetts. My father just retired and I figured that trip was probably the last time I d need this truck in a foreseeable future so it's time to find it a new home. Overall this truck is in great condition. There is some rust as one would expect for a vehicle of this age and superficial spots on the hood where the paint peeled off but no rust through. When you get in the cabin the truck is absolutely clean, I am confident it will exceed anyone's expectations. The leather seats are very comfortable and are in excellent shape as you should see in the pictures. There are a few small cracks in the leather in the corner of the drivers seat but otherwise they look like new. Rubber mats/lining in the cabin are also in good condition with no holes. The door in the center of the cabin slides to allow access to the box. Mechanically this truck has been and remains perfect, I don't know how else to word it. The only three things I had to get replaced on it in 4 years were the battery (in 2010), radiator fan belt (in 2010) and one of the brake lines early this year. That's it. Other than that I just had routine oil changes done every year while getting it inspected. It is currently inspected until February 2013 and I doubt you will need anything else for its next inspection. There are absolutely no leaks of any kind and it starts and drives like a 2012 car. As I said earlier i just used it on a 1,000 mile trip this October helping my friend move without any problems whatsoever. There is plenty of tread left on all tires (see pictures), I am guessing you won't need replacements for at least 10k miles. The only thing that doesn't work in this truck is A/C, which is fully charged but needs a new belt according to the mechanic that replaced the radiator fan belt in 2010. The vent setting works well for heating the cabin in the winter or cooling it in the summer. I never needed A/C while driving it so I never even considered it a problem but figured i should mention it here in the interest of full disclosure. The box is a standard 14 ft box you see on all trucks of this type. Based on the label it was manufactured by the Supreme Corp. It's metal on the outside, wood on the inside. Wooden walls have embedded metal rings for attaching cords, etc. With this truck I am including its original heavy duty solid metal ramp (see pics). If you don't want the ramp I will take $200 off the final sale price and keep it; however most would probably find it useful. The complete box dimensions are as follows: Length: 14 ft (lower) 17.5 ft (upper). Upper length is higher due to 3.5 ft extra extension over the truck's cabinWidth: 7.75 ftHeight: 7 ft (from the box floor) 10+ ft (from the ground) I think i covered just about everything but feel free to email me if you have any questions. The truck is currently inspected/registered/insured in PA and needs nothing, I have a clear title in hand. However, just like any other privately sold vehicle I cannot warranty anything after its driven away so the truck is being sold as-is. Please ask me any questions that you think may affect your purchase decision before placing the bid. I don't want to discourage anyone from bidding but I ask members with a feedback score of 2 or less to contact me for approval prior to placing the bid or I will cancel it, no exceptions! Winning bidder pays $250 non-refundable deposit through Paypal and the balance is due in cash within 7 days of auction end. The auction has no reserve, good luck and happy bidding! On Nov-12-12 at 20:48:38 PST, seller added the following information: A couple of people asked me about title transfer to non-PA residents, so i wanted to share it: Q: Does PA issue transit tags to non-residents? A: Yes, I just confirmed at my local county tag office how the title transfer process works for non-PA, out of state buyers. The seller (me) signs over the title to the buyer at the local county tag office, at which point the non-PA buyer gets a temporary transit tag valid for 30 days from issue. The cost of the transit tag is $50 and you will also need your valid drivers license and proof of insurance (for any car you drive, NOT this truck). My local county tag office is open until 8pm on weekdays and till 4pm on Saturdays (closed on Sundays). Hope this helps
