3 DAY AUCTION ONLY!!!!!! Up for bids is a 1972 Elcamino. This is the body style everyone wants and this is one everyone can afford. The reserve is extremely low on this car so if you are looking for a reasonable priced project this is it. This car doesnt have a motor or trans in it but it comes with the radiator, power steering pump and the dual exhaust crossmember which is hard to find. This car also comes with power front disc brakes and a 12 bolt rear, and rear air shocks that seem to hold air ok. The frame is solid except for one very small spot on the outside where one of the bolts holding the steering box is located. It is very small and all the area around it is very solid, think there is a picture of it. It can probably be touched up with a spot of weld, doesnt need plating or anything like that, very minor. The body on this car is fairly solid except for the floor pans. Someone has added sheet metal on them which actually is a pretty decent job for a daily driver but needs pans if youre going to do it up right. Check this out in one of the pics also. Someone has also added a hood scoop which isnt a very good job, could be worked to look better but I have another hood that comes with the car so you can use which ever you want. The front fenders look to have a little body filler in the bottom edge of them but are pretty straight and no rust around wheel wells. Doors are also pretty nice and pretty straight. Someone has spent lots of time in the bed of this Elcamino so work in it is minimal to get it ready for paint. Seems solid around the rear window also as all the studs are there that hold the molding clips. I have the rear glass. It looks as if both quarter panels have been replaced sometime ago because the only rust on them is at the bottoms and thats very, very minor, mostly pin holes. The spots you see on the fenders quarters etc that have been ground on is where they were going to fill in the holes where trim went, not rust repair. The tailgate seems pretty solid with a little rust repair on the body where it bolts on or closes. There are SS emblems on the fenders but as you can tell it is not an actual SS car but would make a great clone. Underneath has some rust at the rear, where the bed has a couple braces on it but easily repaired or replaced. Windshield is pretty good, bumpers need replated or good for a daily driver. The Elcamino comes with very limited trim but you get all there is. Also there is no interior except for what you see in the pics.There is a nice automatic shifter in it and the console needs a lid. There is also another column you get but no key for it. The glove box door is missing. This Elcamino comes with a clear Tennessee title. There is also a set of rally wheels with trim rings but no center caps. This car is actually pretty solid for a 72 model guys but remember it is a 72. This is a perfect candidate for restoration or just a sharp daily driver. Please ask any questions you may have before bidding.
