This auction is for a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible. It belongs to a good friend of mine who asked me to list it for him. I will tell you what he told me and also how i see the car. To begin with he just purchased a new car for his son so he is selling this one to help with the finances for the new car. THIS CAR WILL BE SOLD AT NO RESERVE SO THE HIGH BIDDER WILL WIN THE CAR. Please have your finances in order before you bid. He has been useing this car all summer long .The car runs and drives great. He purchased the car from a local realtor who had owned the car for many years. The car originally came with a 289 V-8 but some where along the line the motor went bad and they used this 200 6cyl to replace it with.has automatic trans, no power steering or power brakes but does have a power top.Here are the codes off of the door tag body 76A color X trim 26 date 010 DSO 11axel 6 trans 1. Everything on the car works except for the radio. He recently replaced the starter, water pump, rear brakes, and new manifold gasket. The interior of the car is in decent original condition. All the glass is in good shape . Windows roll up and down nicely. Doors open and close better then any other mustang I have seen. The top is in fair condition . It has had a couple of minor repair spots . Goes up and down nicely. It will need a plastic back window. It was brittle and cracked from the cold when we put it down for the pics. The body on the car is very respectable . I could see some minor repair spots on 2 corners of the floors . I did notice that the front frame rails were reinforced . These were done many years ago and still hold up very well. If you need pics of these arears just let me know. This is by no means a show car and we are not presenting it as such.
