Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1951 Chevrolet Panel Truck. It is has a clear Californian non op title. This vehicle, from what we were told, came to California from Arizona and it looks to have lived most of its life in dry areas. I have climbed all over this vehicle and I cant find any rust through. There is some surface rust where someone has started to sand down the paint many years ago but that is all. The floors are excellent and inside the tray area in the back looks to have the original timber and paint and still looks in great condition. There is a small amount of damage on the front lefthand fender but is easily repaired. I have checked the roof and side panels and they are nice and straight and wouldnt take much to prep for paint. The truck is fitted with an early model GMC V6 (condition unknown) and looks to have a 4 speed (not sure) with an open drive shaft. The engine does not run. The vehicle still has the original bucket seats, appears to have the original mirrors and also has the 2 original floor compartment covers under the seats. From what I can find out, this truck started life as a red vehicle with the deluxe trim eg side fender mouldings etc etc. I do not have any of the fender mouldings but other than that, the vehicle is complete. It will easily roll on and off a trailer (tires hold air). It is an excellent vehicle for restoration. Why spend thousands of dollars trying to fix a rust bucket when you can buy a rust free one. I am now retired but previously owned a body shop for 30 years so I am reasonably experienced in checking out the body. There is some minor usual fender dents but other than that, it is a great restoration project. We bought this panel truck to ship back to Australia with us but due to its size, it will not fit in the container with the other vehicles we have purchased so unfortunately it has to go. Serious enquiries only as we are not desperate to sell it. If not sold, it will be stored and shipped on our next trip. It is sold as is, where is , with no warranties. Good luck , thanks for looking THIS VEHICLE IS BEING RELISTED BECAUSE OF A DEADBEAT TIME WASTER BIDDER (hdchev10) WHO CLICKED ON IN THE LAST FEW SECONDS AND PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE WITHOUT READING THE LISTING AND NOW WILL NOT PAY FOR IT.
