Barn find??? Sure. It has been in "MY" barn {machine shed} for 13 years and in my brother in laws machine shed for 15 years prior to that. It is my dad's truck. He and his brother bought it almost 40 years ago. My dad bought it from his brother shortly after. He parked it about 30 years ago. I kept it running and actually registered it and drove it in 2000. But it needs some brake work. I have been starting it every year, but had the battery out of it for the last couple. Haven't started it since. It will need some attention. The engine was very sound when I parked it last, but I won't guarantee anything that is this old. The truck was last restored about 30 years ago. It has some bondo. The frame is solid. It has new exhaust. It will need some new panels etc to restore obviously. the box sides look good. The doors will need lower patch panels. Needs fender patch panels. Floor is decent and very repairable. Like I said, it hasn't been sitting outside in the last 40 years. It is wet now because it looked brown from years of dust. This truck will not drive on a trailer but I can help pull it on with my skid loader. It won't take much to get it running again. Brakes need work. Clutch was good. It is a 3 on the tree. I have all four aluminum slots. Bed boards need replaced. My plan was to put the body on a mid 80's full size Chevy Blazer. I guy in Mn makes a very nice kit for it to mount to this 4x4 chasis. Then it will have all the brakes and steering of a newer, safer vehicle. Plus it would be 4x4 which I like. Some like the old school tri fives just the way they are. This is about as original as they get. It is unmolested and ready for restoration. These trucks are getting harder to find. It is a half ton 3100. I hope that someone can appreciate this truck and put some time into it. I hate to see it sit any longer. I will not give it away, but am not going to ask a fortune either. Good luck bidding.
