Vehicle Detail
1970 Corvette Stingray coupe with clear Colorado title. Runs and drives well, and is presently plated and on the road. Typically driven on the weekends and constantly turns heads/evokes positive comments. Odometer indicates 33,094 miles; however, I assume this to be 133,094 miles given the vehicle's age. Data plate indicates LT-1; however, no paperwork to substantiate. Non-matching engine as it is the correct 350 cu in block, but casting numbers indicate 1972 model year. Car has t-tops and removable rear window. Large Holley double-pumper, solid-lifter cam and 4-spd manual transmission. No AC or power brakes, but does have power steering. White pearl paint (not factory color) with black interior. Hooker chrome headers with 4-in chrome laker pipes. Goodyear raised white letter tires and factory Corvette rally wheels, trim rings and center caps. Currently prepped for hood (removed, but comes with car) replacement with long LT-1/L-88 aftermarket version (not included in sale) to eliminate vacumn wiper door (removed, but comes with car). Vacumn headlight system (removed, but comes with car) prepped for conversion to linear actuator up/down. The vacumn system was not one of Chevrolet's better ideas and the engine (cam) does not allow for much low-end vacumn. That said, I got tired of wipers and/or light doors working slowly at low RPMs/speeds. Too many restoration projects presently in the works, so I need to free up space before snow sticks. Previously stored indoors in our shop. The $18,200 asking price is negotiable and no reasonable offer will be refused. Motivated to sell. Please, serious inquiries only--no BS. Vehicle is listed locally as well as on other internet sites and therefore subject to prior sale outside of eBay. This vehicle is sold "as is, where is" and no warranty of any kind is implied or expressed once the vehicle leaves my control and property. Since I have no control over the subsequent condition, care and/or operation of the vehicle once shipped, no return of, or refunds for this listing. Buyer is responsible for arranging vehicle pickup and shipping, as well as any/all associated costs. I will cancel current vehicle insurance coverage (presently full coverage) once vehicle leaves my control and/or property. We can assist with loading provided our assistance is requested in writing (e-mail will suffice) and well in advance (minimum of 72 hours) of the requirement. On Nov-08-12 at 10:45:56 PST, seller added the following information:****** UPDATE: As detailed in the auction, this vehicle is listed in multiple locations and therefore subject to sale outside of eBay. We currently have a local offer pending which is valid through Saturday, November 10th. This auction will either be updated or canceled at that time. We remain motivated to sell and greatly appreciate all the interest. ******On Nov-10-12 at 13:47:26 PST, seller added the following information:UPDATE: Local buyer's financing unfortunately fell through. Given I was accepting his offer of $15,500, the eBay price is lowered to match. The negotiated reduction takes into account the cost of a long LT-1/L-88 hood and paint, as well as cost to finish headlight door actuator replacement. Again, makes us an offer! On Nov-16-12 at 08:57:31 PST, seller added the following information:UPDATE: Price reduced today from $15,500.00 to $13,500.00. That's $5,000.00 overall reduction from original asking price. Would have been done sooner, but an eBay bidder ($10,000.00 offer) never responded to my very reasonable counteroffer--inconsiderate person! That said, serious buyers only, please. No reserve, and I remain motivated to sell; however, I am not desperate and will not absorb an unreasonable loss. We look forward to your offer! Two days left!
