Vehicle Detail

OK BMW fans. This is the one you have been waiting for. Some claim this is the finest motorcycle ever built by BMW. It is a 1993 K75S with ABS in Silk Blue. The motorcycle is a one owner machine with just over 55,571 miles on it. Maybe a few more by the time the auction is over, but the condition will be the same as what is listed here. It was purchased new in 1993 by a longtime BMW enthusiast at Hebert Cycles in Baton Rouge, LA. It was a demonstrator model and had 1,500 miles on it with a full factory warranty. Since then, it has faithfully traveled coast to coast and back again. The bike has been nearly flawless in its operation. It has never been wrecked, however it was dropped and scarred the plastic on one side deep enough that the bike has been repainted. The paint work was done at a BMW dealer in St. Louis, MO who specialized in paint and body. They also added the native American graphics that you see in the pictures. The bike hasn't been ridden much lately. It had a full level II service in 2006 and has probably only seen 2,000+ miles since. It is stored indoors and covered when not in use. It likely needs a radiator flush and the brake fluid changed. The battery was new in 2006 and has been on a Battery Tender to maintain the charge. It easily starts the motorcycle, but likely will need to be replaced in the next 12 months. The motorcycle has ABS brakes, BMW saddlebags and a Corbin seat. Everything works as it should, including the ABS. The saddlebags are solid and tight. All the latches and locks function correctly and no cracks or damage in the plastic. The bike is very pretty, especially with the new paint. No major blemishes or flaws to report, but keep in mind, it does have 55,000 miles on it and you are certain to find a scratch or nick somewhere. The bike runs and rides very well. It is silky smooth as K75s are know to be. The transmission functions normally and feels solid. I don't know of any issues that require immediate attention and the bike has been well cared for. The motorcycle has been donated to the BMW MOA Foundation by its owner and 100% of the sales price will be given to the BMW MOA Foundation through eBay's Giving Works and Mission Fish. The BMW MOA Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 charitable public education trust whose mission is to advance rider safety, education and training for BMW MOA members and fellow motorcycle riders. This auction still works the same as any other vehicle auction. The purchaser will complete the sale of the vehicle, payment, title transfer, etc. with the current registered owner. Payment arrangements should be made within 14 days of the auction's close and the buyer will have the opportunity to inspect the motorcycle before the transaction is complete including the option to cancel the sale without penalty. I will be glad to help with any shipping or payment arrangements, but the buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping. The motorcycle is currently located in Colorado Springs, CO for transportation purposes. This is a very nice example of the legendary K75S. You will not be disappointed with this bike and you will be helping the BMW MOA Foundation by making a bid. I'll be happy to answer any questions, but please ask with enough time remaining for me to respond. Good luck to all.
