This auction is for a 1935 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup. It belongs to a good friend of mine who asked me to list it for him. I will give you as accurate description as i can of how it was told to me and how I see it. I was told that the truck belonged to an elderly gentleman who wanted to have it restored and took it to a body shop to start a frame off restoration . From what i understand the work was done approximately 20 years ago and it never left the shop. The owner was paying as he went along but some where along the line that all stopped. The project was put on hold . Fast forward 15 years later and here we are. They did get a hold of the owner who now has health issues and no money to pay for whats been done . So the body shop and the owner worked out a deal and a little later down the line my friend bought the truck. The truck is all steel. The cab and box have been mounted back on the frame.The box is a new reproduction at a cost of $2500. Fenders, running boards ,grill, etc are all mounted in place. Motor trans etc are back in place. He was told the motor was rebuilt and ran great but he has not taken the time to start it. I can see where someone had a fuel can hooked up to it and a jumper wire for the starter. The doors are nice and solid and just need final preping for paint. same with the hood. I did see some missing items such as generator, exhaust system,seat, glass, front bumper, hubcaps, and side mounted spare. Brakes have been converted to juice brakes but no lines have been run. We do have the fuel tank, door panels, air cleaner, front bumper brackets, piano hinge for hood, new wireing harness, and some other misc items. what work was done looks to have been done right . Appears that the body was in real nice shape to start with. At this stage of the game you could finish it up original or make it your own.This truck is selling at no reserve high bidder owns it. Please be serious when bidding and have your funds in order. We have a current New Hampshire registration that can be transfered to the next owner should you need a title in your state. A NUMBER OF EBAYERS HAVE EMAILED ASKING ABOUT VARIOUS CONDITIONS OF THE WOOD AND METAL. THE WOOD IN THE CAB IS IN GREAT CONDITION THRUOUT AS FOR THE 4 FENDERS THEY LOOK ALMOST NEW . NICE CRISP EDGES WHEN YOU FEEL AROUND THEM. THEY DONT APPEAR TO HAVE HAD ANY PRIOR CRACKING OR DENTS. OF COURSE THE BOX IS NEW SO THAT IS NICE.EVEN THOUGH THE PAINT WAS DONE YEARS AGO IT STILL LOOKS VERY NICE . THE REST IS AS DESCRIBED.
