Vehicle Detail

Please contact me for more information before bidding... Thank you! I am listing this 1970 MGB with about 133,000 miles (less than 5,000 miles in new engine!) for a very nice older gentleman in Sarasota, Florida, about 45 minutes south of me. He's the second owner and is selling because he's getting older to drive and work on it. He purchased this MGB in 1988 and has been restoring it ever since. Originally the color was yellow and he changed it completely to red, which is the right way to do it if one wants to change its original color. The MGB was painted about 15 years ago, and the paint job still looks decent, but it has some small scratches/blemishes here and there. The hood has a slight dent coming out from the inside. He does not know how this happened, but it's there. I tried taking a photo to show it but it was difficult to capture on camera. It has an Overdrive transmission. The engine was restored less than 2 years ago, and I have to say that it runs VERY well. I have driven many MG's and this one was, not only fun to drive, but pretty quick for an MGB too-I was truly impressed! The engine has 40's over size pistons, and a street cam, rebuilt carbs w/ Ken & N filters, electronic ignition, new oil cooler w/ stainless steel hoses, new brake calipers w/ drilled disc brakes and all high pressure brake lines, new stainless steel exhaust, new alloy wheels. Rear suspension was converted to Telescopic Shocks, which I noticed a difference also. All suspension were rebuilt too with Polyurethane Bushings. And more! The seats are pretty new and the interior was the last thing that the owner was working on. Some of the parts, such as the heater knobs, side moldings, etc, were not installed back but he has everything including some new parts. The top has a tear so it will need to be replaced. The car is practically rust free and has always been garaged. Owner coated driver side floor because it has some surface rust as a precaution. Also, two hardtops are included! To sum it up, this is a solid MGB that with very little effort can be taken to a very respectable level. Lots of good money has been spent on this MG so there's really not much more to do other than finalize some touch-ups. Fell free to contact me with any questions and thanks for looking! This is a NO RESERVE LISTING, so this is a good opportunity to acquire a very nice MGB. Serious eBay members only, PLEASE!! As you can see per my feedback I don't play games so extend me the same courtesy. There's a $750.00 deposit due within 24 hours, so make sure this is what you want before bidding, and that your financials are in order too! I will be glad to assist with shipping arrangements and can even refer you to a trusted transportation company that I personally use, but all costs are buyer's responsibility. No Warranties whatsoever, sold as is. If you are going to need more than 7 days to collect the vehicle let me know in advance so that I can coordinate things with the owner. Know that I always try to be as accommodating as much as I can, but communication is the key! I have the right to end listing before the end of auction if sold locally, which is very unlikely but I have to mention it. Feel free to contact me with any questions via email or at 727.522.2531 TO MEMBERS: I am not a dealer, I provide a service to individuals in need of listing their particular vehicles unless stated above. Most of the people that I list for; don't know how to use a computer, don't have the time, and/or don't want the aggravation. I do not take possession of the vehicle nor the title, I just list for them. It's important to express that I just don't list anybody, I check all paperwork, examine items, and test them myself including driving them if applicable. If I don't feel comfortable with the item, or individual I will pass on the opportunity! I consider myself mechanically inclined, and have a very good eye for paint finish, bodywork, etc, for I used to work for a restoration shop back in my days while attending college! Satisfied eBay members is the most important part of any listing transaction that I make. As much as one tries to best describe or list issues about any particular vehicle, it's impossible to account for all possible things that can go wrong with a machinery. It will probably be a good idea to have the vehicle inspected before the end of auction to be 100% sure. Know that I will always try to list as accurate as possible in order to avoid unnecessary issues. Of course it's always challenging to satisfy all members all the time, but I will try to do my best in continuing enjoying my current feedback status with your help! So, bid with confidence and contact me with any questions!
