1998 VFR 800 FI In my opinion, the best of the VFRs- better than the early carbed ones because the motor is stronger, better than the later VTEC ones because there's more torque, and better than the 99-01 because it doesn't have the later exhaust, etc. This one is in good mechanical, challenged cosmetic condition. It had a low speed, lowside about 20k miles ago (before our customer traded it in), and the fairing was never repaired. No mechanical issues from the crash- steering stops are intact, radiator is straight and perfect, bars are good, etc. But, the cosmetic issue remains. Mechanically excellent:- Fresh Michelin Pilot Power front, Pilot Road rear- New service- Oil/ filter change- New battery- Chain and sprockets good- Brake pads good It runs strong and handles great. Cosmetically, not excellent, as the pictures show. Ebay has plenty of low-cost plastic sets available (~$500) which would be the lowest cost way to return the bike to its former glory.
