Was purchased by my uncle from Fairway Chevrolet in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, he has passed away, and I am selling the car to liquidate his estate. Since acquiring the Vette in February, I have done the following to make it damn near perfect: - New battery -Complete Service from Allen Gwyn Chevrolet in Glendale, CA - Fixed the few problem areas on these C5's: new hood struts, new oil pressure sensors, and above all new headlight actuators (over $600 EACH) - Recovered the seats in glove soft leather in factory original color and pattern (from Corvette South) The car is immaculate and ready to go! Description: If you're looking for a C5 Vette, you'd be hard pressed to find a better one. The paint looks fantastic, with only a few rock chips from driving, and a couple of touched up scratches on the edges of the mirrors. On the back, my uncle had the rear fascia professionally pinstriped, and added his signature black rose. He had one painted on every car he owned since the 40s. I think it looks bad ass. It's tastefully done, and really complements the car. If it's not your cup of tea, however, it's very easy to remove. Everywhere it goes, this Vette gets attention, and nobody can believe it's a 98. The interior is immaculate, especially with the addition of the new leather. The carpets look great, as does the dash and trim. You can just tell how pampered a life this car has led. Everything works as new with the exception of the keyless entry. I think the remote needs a battery. I'll ask the dealer and replace it before the auction's close if that's all it takes. This is a superb driving machine, and if you've never driven one, you'll love it! Not only is it fast enough to kick the rear end out with the traction control ON, but it is perhaps the best long distance touring car I've ever had. It's comfortable, very spacious, and 80mph is 1950rpm. You seriously just idle down the freeway! And with the targa top off (which fits perfectly in the back) it's a great fair weather car. Not to mention the exhaust note through the Flowmasters is incredible! I know you'll love this car. Please look at the photos carefully. Remaining funds to be in cash upon pickup or cashier's check. Car is being sold on a clean Nevada title. It is not currently registered as the owner has passed away, and the plates were returned to the DMV. This does NOT effect your ability to register the car. But you may have to obtain a movement permit from the DMV (I can help) which costs $1 if you plan to drive the car home over a long distance.
