Vehicle Detail

This 1974 Volkswagen Westfalia Camper (T2) has been well preserved and has spent most of its life in the southwest. It has recently been repainted and had all three new pop top seals replaced. This bus also comes with new interior drapes, battery and carburetor. The bus shows almost no evidence of rust and has been in the southwest for approximately the last 30yrs. It has been preserved not restored so it is still in need of miscellaneous repairs. The bus is running but it is in need of service. Compression on one of the cylinders will need attention along with the fuel float (fuel guage not reading). Electrical is in good shape and sink water pump still works. One tail light brake bulb is out as well. The radio works and has one speaker currently connected. The pop top material is in good condition and has only one small snag/ tear in it about an inch and a half long. Both sun visors are included but need hardwear to mount correctly (right side is not currently up). The tires have good tread on them but are dry rotted and will need to be replaced, however all tires do hold pressure. The passenger sliding door is currently not opening because the handle is off (handle is included) door does work but door handle will need to be installed/ serviced for door to open again (the door panel is off). Windshield wiper blades will also need to be replaced along with a new spare tire (spare tire is low on tread and should be replaced). This bus is a great color combination and has a hard to find automatic transmission. This bus has never been abused or molested and has had very few owners considering its almost 40 years old and the last owner had it for about 30 yrs. Overall it is a great origional vechile and is almost complete. The biggest issues being that it runs weak due to the compression on one of the cylinders and the sliding door not opening. This bus has a very straight body and there is no evidence of any crashes. When the paint was redone the body was found to have no bondo patches. The body is very straight and beautiful. This bus has 92,003 miles on it and has been well taken care of. It now needs someone who can give it the last little TLC it needs and enjoy it. I sold my classic Chevy truck on Ebay about two years ago to someone in Tennessee and it cost about 700$ to have it transported on a flatbed from Albuquerque to Tennessee. If you are serious about obtaining this Westfalia then don't hesitate to bid on it or call 505-435-5993 with any questions, thanks and good luck!
