Vehicle Detail

1977 Chevy Nova, factory 305 automatic with AC, all original and complete down to the catalytic converter and single in dual outlet muffler and 14" rally wheels. No, I did not hose it down with water to make it shiny...that is goofy, it was raining when I took the interior photos. It is a few months shy of 36 years old, a true classic; therefore, the interior plastic is shot, the dash is cracked and the carpet naturally needs replacement. Don't be alarmed, imagine what your blue jeans and tennis shoes would look like if your wore a pair for 36 years without taking them off. The tires are good, around five years old. RUST: This is the bane of all cars and most definitely the number one concern when I look for a project. Novas are notorious for rusting around the taillights, rear fender lips and along the lower quarter window seals. I found a spot along the drivers side taillight. I found a spot, about 1/4" in diameter at the front of the passenger side quarter window. I found some holes, not bad in the truck floor. DAMAGE: This Nova has the original paint, I found no indication of any accident. The front, leading edge of the hood was bent slightly. The rear passenger side fender has a small dent that I massaged a little. That is it, this car is a solid base for a Pro-Touring build. Just a little history, it was the proverbial "little old ladies" car, and why would you be surprised, given she ordered it from Tom Peacock Chevrolet in Houston, decked out in turquoise blue with a white vinyl interior and wood grain faux dash. The true value of this car is the buyer can clearly see what they are buying, there are no hidden repairs and it is completely original. I have the interior plastic from a donor car in black, all the pieces are in very good shape and ready to use as is or the pieces can be dyed to match to color of your choice. I also found the factory build sheet if you are interested in that information. I have a clear Texas title in my name; the car does not have license plates or a current inspection sticker so plan to use a tow dolly or trailer to transport it. Buyers often wonder why a vehicle is being sold. I owned a 77 in high school and college so I have that soft spot for fourth generation Novas. I bought it to build and planned to install a triangulated 4-link, 5.3/4L60, 4.10 gears and 255 front and 285 rear tires and and drive it. I don't have the time or patience to work on junk, the car is solid and that is the best way in my opinion, to start a build. After a few months of planning, I realized a car simply does not fit my lifestyle and decided to build a Jeep so this car has to go. I have 100% positive feedback for over 13 years and I maintain that feedback with no BS auctions, no pages and pages of funky colored big and little text, just facts. This is a binding auction, don't bid if you don't have the money available for payment. If you have questions, ask before bidding!
