1970 SIERRA GRANDE CAMPER SPECIAL 2500 GMC PICKUP BOUGHT NEW BY ORIGINAL OWNER IN CALIFORNIA WHO WAS A RACING AND ENGINE SPECIALIST AND CHANGED THE ENGINE TO A 427 PROPANE POWERED TRUCK-AND AFTER TALKING WITH HIM I PLANNED ON CONVERTING BACK TO GAS, WHICH IS RELATIVELY SIMPLE: REMOVE THE FUEL TANKS WHICH COULD BE WORTH UP TO 1,000 THEMSELVES, NEEDS NEW CARB, CHANGE PISTONS, AND CAM, AND THEN BACK TO GAS POWERED 427! OR LEAVE AS ALTERNATIVE FUEL VERY GOOD RUNNING ON PROPANE AS IT IS! ONLY HAS 64,000 ORIGINAL MILES EVERYTHING IS ORIGINAL PAINT, INTERIOR, DID NOT WANT TO CHANGE COULD USE A REPAINT BUT HOW OFTEN ARE THEY ORIGINAL! ONLY ONCE! There is no rust of any significance, only surface. Body in good shape with some dents and dings, but no rust easy paint there are 7 propane tanks all can be removed and can run on one I have only one 12 gal. tank hooked up. They originally designed to go across country on Propane! All could be hooked back up or removed as I planned and sold they are valueable in themselves! interior is nice but also is original some tear to seat, could use a full restoration or kept as is very sound. And best of all, it has AIR! it is not working but it just needs a 99.00 compressor! This is a highly optioned and very rare truck with the alternative fuel it is amazing really!
