NO RESERVE HIGH BID TAKES IT Due to lack of work and needing the money I am selling my Ranchero, I thought about parting it out because it has so many brand new parts on it, probably spent 5grand or more on it already but I am going to sell it as it is no reserve so if you are even thinking about building a 460 engine or a 70s ranchero start adding up all the parts on this thing and you will kick yourself for letting it get away. All pictures that have a 2004 date on them but this is not accurate ( put new batteries in camera and didnt set date). Pictures were taken recently. This is my 1976 Ford Ranchero project. This is not a piece of junk Ranchero, its a very good car just needs to be finished. I have had it a number of years, worked on it now and again, now it is just in my way without the funds to finish it. It is a very nice 1976 Ranchero GT with factory 460 cubic inch engine and automatic C6 transmission. It was loaded with options including power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, and a power seat. A huge amount of the body work has been done, it has extremely straight quarter panels, solid floorboards, etc. The drivers side fender was crunched once while it was setting in the driveway so it has been removed but I have a fender for it and the passenger fender has a dent in the front (noticed it when I took pictures, don't know how that got there). The pass door was setting outside for a while and got rust started in the lower corner but other than that, with most of the hard body work done it wouldn't take much to get a paint job on it. The bed is rust free with no rot in the front or anywhere else. I have more than a few thousand dollars invested in this car and only hope to recoup a portion of it. I also have moved within the last year so the paperwork I had describing what all has been done to the engine was lost. It was rebuilt with the usual new parts, including a new crane cam, lifters, springs, and new roller rockers, etc. And it has a noticeable lope that sounds awesome, new Barry Grant Speed Demon 850 Carb, new Hooker Jet Hot coated headers, new MSD ignition module ( digital 6 plus), new MSD blaster coil, new MSD plug wires and New MSD distributor, new Weiand Stealth intake manifold, and brand new high torque starter. I also purchased a new crankshaft and the heads are C8VE-E castings that have been ported out. Those items alone will set you back $3000 not counting all the other engine work. I cannot guarantee anything about the transmission I bought it from a guy that said it was rebuilt but have never tried it, because there are a few things that need to be gone through before it can be put under its own power, mainly check to make sure the brakes are all good and working, which they should be, and everything is up to snuff to drive it. Plus you will get brand new carpet, brand new door weatherstrip, brand new pillar weatherstrip, brand new headliner, all installed, new electric fuel pump and pressure regulator, new windshield, seats out of a 1999 Taurus, posi trac rear end, cleaned and sealed gas tank, balanced driveshaft with new ujoints, new 3" exhaust with mufflers and Y pipe, driveshaft safety loop, a very good radiator and shroud, oil cooler and complete engine brackets for A/C. and multiple other new stuff I can't even think of right now, let alone the countless hours spent on this thing already. I have the rear glass, tailgate, chrome, grill, bumpers, door panels, a very nice hood that has been cleaned, painted underneath, primed and flat on top, and other misc items. Can't say I have 100% of everything but it is 95% + all there. I have 2 videos on YouTube so you can hear the engine run, type in 76' Ranchero Beast and 1976 Ranchero Beast .Like I said, there has been thousands sunk into this already. It may not look it but it is there. Just start adding up all the new items I listed. Do you know how hard it is to find motor mounts for the 460 engine in a Torino / Ranchero those alone are worth a couple hundred dollars. Car has a crystal clear title. Buyer responsible for pick-up or setting up delivery. Remember this car does not go under its own power so keep that in mind if you are having someone pick it up. I do drive to Nashville every other week or so and could get it that far if it helps. Car also has aluminum wheels on all four corners as in fist picture
