Vehicle Detail

Hello all, My mom (she doesn't know how to use ebay and just wants to get rid of this thing) is having me sell my Dad's Mercedes S500. He purchased this car new back in 2001...so there has been only one owner. He purchased another car about three or four years ago and this car has basically been sitting around collecting dust and bird crap. The car is pretty much highway miles (not sure if you even care to know this fact but that I would put it out there). The car has various scratches, dings and dents. Nothing really severe. He's had a few fender benders, as he is at times a rather aloof driver, but no major car accidents. However, many a speeding ticket did he receive in this vehicle....the man can drive with a sense of purpose when he's trying to make a tee time or running late for his annual prostate exam. If the interior of this car could talk, it would probably just scream. Dad has awful taste in jazz music (or any music for that matter) and I can't imagine the countless hours those poor leather seats had to endure listening to it. The front seats seem to be in pretty good condition and the power seats still work well. The back seat leather has some holes in it along with some scratches, so it ain't in perfect shape. It's not like Freddy Krueger or Edward Scissor Hands rode around in the back seat but there are some noticeable holes and small tears. As far as I can tell, the car runs great. It surprisingly still has some giddy up left in it and the engine sounds good to me (I am not a mechanic....but no knocking or pinging or any unnecessary noise). The transmission isn't jumpy or lurchy. Mom pretty much handled all of the maintenance on it as she's a little more obsessive about those things....so it's always been kept current with its service. Basically, this car is what you would expect a car to look and drive like after being driven 150,000 miles by some rich, 50 year old man. For those of you wishing to live the Romney lifestyle (one that 99% of us will never experience), I am also including with the purchase of this vehicle a four part cassette series on "Finding Your Own Offshore Wealth Haven." Sadly, among the hundreds of motivational/self help tapes and crappy jazz CDs strewn throughout this vehicle, I never came across any sort of audio program on "Planning Your Inheritance" or "Building Your Child's Trust Fund"....which has me worried that my dad has simply spoiled away my inheritance. If you've got questions regarding this vehicle, please feel free to shoot me an email. I'd be glad to answer any questions you may have regarding this vehicle. Good luck bidding! On Oct-16-12 at 14:08:58 PDT, seller added the following information: ATTENTION: I added some more detailed pictures of the vehicles interior. Also, there is a scratch along the back of the trunk hood....it's not a deep scratch but I posted a picture of this as well. On Oct-17-12 at 16:25:57 PDT, seller added the following information: In addition, I want to make it clear that this car has been sitting idle for the past two years. It was rarely driven during that time frame. My suggestion for anyone interested in purchasing this vehicle is before you do anything with it, is to take it to get serviced and have everything checked out: fluids, brake pads, belts, tire pressure, etc.. The car starts, runs and drives. I've had to drive it around in order to clean it up. So it does run. However, I would have someone look it over before you take it on some extensive road trip. Also...the tires are in really good shape. In all honesty, the Michelin tires that are on there look almost brand new....just by judging from the tread wear. Something else to think about.
