1997 Jaguar XK8 Convertible.....68987 miles...Absolutely stunning vehicle..Desirable British Racing Green with biscuit leather interior...No Reserve... With Issues....I wish this car ran as great as it looks..I'm the 3rd owner..car sat garaged/ stored in southern Florida for 5 years, while family settled estate..I purchased knowing the car had problems. Had the car shipped from Ft Lauderdale to Easton, MA. Unfortuntely, situation changed & I don't have the money to get the issues addressed. The motor runs smooth, strong and quite, shifts great...however ABS/Traction control light is on...vibration in the front end..when motor gets to running temp, runs rough,stalls and check engine light comes on??? I'm told, needs front wheel bearings, possibly ball joints and maybe a brake caliper.. I'm told, as a result of this car sitting so long. The local Jaguar deal wants $125.00 per hour just to diagnosis. Way out of my league..thought I was doing the right thing by helping out a friend. I'm not trying to talk myself out a sale, just want to be as honest as possible and recoup what I have into the car. Retiring and heading south... I had General 245-50 R17 G-Max z rated tires installed (cost me $925.00), less than 100 miles on them..new Interstate battery...water pump, thermostat & antifreeze, oil change and valve cover gaskets. Top is in excellent condition and goes up/down smoothly...Leather is in great condition...A/C Ice cold..Stereo-CD work fine..all options OK..Owners manuals etc. Body in excellent condition..slight ding in front grill.. slight discoloration, top of mirriors and windsheld frame from car cover...
