1987 FORD THUNDERBIRD     5.0L V8ONLY 72K MILES! I bought this car as a father son project, but you know how the story goes. The car is far from a project and would be a great driver/and fix up as you go along. I bought it because I owned one in the early 90's and it was the closest thing to a Mustang back in the day. I bought this off the original owner's grand son who wanted something more modern. The car runs great and its condition is as of a low mileage 25 year old car. Please read on. The Good:New Heater Core ($800.00)4 Brand New Tires ($390.00)New Sony CD Player($150.00)Brand New Exhaust ($475.00)Brand New Front Brake Pads, Rotors, Wheel Bearings($325.00) **The car runs very strong and shifts great. Its very tight and is very powerful. These cars are becoming more and more popular with the 5.0 because after market parts are so readily available to make this thing quicker and stronger. I got it so my son and I can work on it together and he'll have a cool car to drive when he turns 17, however he is only 8 and I may have started too young. The Bad:Dash has dry cracks in it.Seat material is splitting.Paint is faded.Wheel center caps are missing.A/C doesn't work, has leak in system.Temp gauge doesn't work.1 power door lock actuator doesn't function properly.Ash tray won't stay shut.Glove box latch could use an adjustment.Rust spot about 3"x2" behind left rear tire. There is probably some more stupid stuff that I didn't mention or didn't come across yet. But all this stuff is what my son and I would have enjoyed to fix so I can teach him. The car is what it is, but a great/fun fast car to own. Those that grew up in the 80's know that this car was the stuff back in the day! Please ask me as many questions as you may have and don't let the all the repair totals scare you, the reserve is way below what that totals.
