Thank you for your cooperation. ******************************************************************************************** Offered is a 2002 Honda Civic EX Coupe 2 door, equipped with a 1.7 liter engine. This Civic has 98,742 miles and is being sold, as is, with no reserve so we do not have to re-list. This vehicle is being auctioned by the Woodridge Illinois Police Department. The history of this vehicle is unknown as it was seized in an arrest that occurred on December 19, 2011. After the arrest the vehicle was stored inside a warehouse. This vehicle was awarded to the Woodridge Police on May 23, 2012 by court order and we hold clear title. We will attempt to describe this vehicle to the best of our ability and you may inspect the vehicle, in person, by appointment. The Civic has front end damage, the body has scratches, dents and some rust. The tires appear newer and all have good tread (see photos). The interior is dirty and in need of cleaning. The lever that opens the hood is missing but Vise-Grip pliers have been attached to the cable by the previous owner allowing the hood to be opened. The radio does not work and there is an error code in the display. The air conditioner does blow cold air and the sun roof opens as expected (see photos). Before a brief test drive, the Civic needed to be jump started because of a dead battery. After that, the Civic accelerated, stopped and handled as expected for a vehicle of this age. There is a “MAINT REQ’D” dashboard warning light. The winning bidder will need to jump start or tow the Civic. This is not a guarantee that the Civic will not need other maintenance or repairs. Other than these stated observations we have no further information regarding this vehicle’s history. We always disclose everything we know about our vehicles, but again, these vehicles have an unknown prior history and are NOT inspected by us prior to auction and you may inspect this vehicle, in person, by appointment.
