Up for auction is a PHS documented numbers matching 1969 gto convertible project . Car has been setting since the early to mid eighties and has only 93,184 orginial miles. Car is in need of full restoration as you can see from pictures. I was told that the last time the engine was started was 10 or more years ago, last week plugs and points were cleaned , poured gas in the carburator and the engine started right up ( so engine does run) the last eight digits stamped on machined pad next to the timing chain match the last eight numbers on the cars vin. Engine stamped YS with a date of (G068) July 6th 1968. Heads- number 62 date (G128) Intake - date (G098) Rearend- stamped WG with a date of (G158) Trans- PX 69 Carb- 7029268 WF. Data Plate date- (08A) First week in August. Car paint color is Mayfair Maize with Parchment interior and Black top which would be orginial. This was a high option car which can be seen in photo of paper work. After a little assist from the start the power top was raised for the first time in many years and worked fine. The radio also plays. Only 4,385 - 69 convertibles with this engine and trans combination were made. Car does have rust in doors,fenders,trunk, and floorpans. Frame looks to be in real good shape, someone painted the frame with somekind of paint that helped to preserve it. Interior will need work .Dash looks to be in great condition for a car this age .Console and eight track player look to be in good shape. Have extra door and parts that go with car as can been seen in photo's. I am sure I left out alot so please ask any questions that you have. I have a clear Virginia title in my name. Thanks
