Vehicle Detail

This is a 67 Camaro Coupe that was purchased in Long Beach in 1966 by my parents. In 1986, it was signed over to me as a high school graduation present. It remained my primary means of transportation until 2003, at which time I "retired" it from practical use and have only started it and driven it occasionally on weekends. The mileage reads "45994," but I witnessed it reach 100,000 and turn over in the early 1990's. The original 327 engine was replaced with a 350 in roughly 1997. As such, the true mileage on the newer engine is probably closer to 40,000. For years, the intention has been to restore the interior and exterior to its former beauty, as the engine is in excellent running condition. However, it has become clear that this is not going to be financially practical, and my intentions have shifted to a hope that someone else might be better able to restore and enjoy this car. Regarding its "cosmetic" condition, it would definitely benefit from a fresh coat of paint. There are chips and scratches here and there and a small dent in the rear under the bumper. The passenger side door was once dented, and has been repaired, but it is slightly off-color with the rest of the car. Evidence of some rust at the bottom of the rear window. The interior is in "good" condition, but an enthusiast with the means will want to replace carpet and maybe some of the vinyl. Air Conditioner was installed by my parents after its original purchase. I have not been able to afford to fix it, but it may be possible to replace a seal in the compressor, put a new belt on, and it may work. Worst case would be to replace the compressor. Cassette Player/Radio is disconnected and I don't honestly know if it still works. Buyer responsible for arranging shipment, but I am happy to assist on my end.On Oct-07-12 at 15:44:31 PDT, seller added the following information: This is a 67 Camaro Coupe that was purchased in Long Beach in 1966 by my parents.
