bubbasev Store Up for grabs is my Authentic Meyers Manx dune buggy. Note that this is NOT a manx-style, manx-clone, or any other confusing obfuscation. This is the original. That said, it will also always be the one people want and the one that's worth more than the others. Mine is on the Manx registry. Title is free and clear in my name. Titled in Idaho as 1955 Special Construction Dune Buggy. The year date allows vintage plates and no emissions test requirements in my state. The Buggy kit is a 1968 and built on earlier pan. I purchased this from family that had owned it for 30 years! Many improvements made through the years include modern 1600 Stock Dual Port AS41 case motor with alternator, stock solex carb, chrome dress-up kit, quiet exhaust, full VDO instrumentation, close ration transaxle with super-diff and tranny straps, turning brakes, new Real manx sidepods and polished stainless steel rollbar, new Beard/Redart lil' sportser seats covered with stock VW Black Basket weave vinyl. This buggy was recently given some love with intention of restoring the nostalgia look of the early buggies. The chrome Dietz lights shine great. The body is great, needing only minor sanding/filling prior to recent Urethane paint job in slime green. Tires are matching tread Cooper Cobras front/rear on chrome wide five wheels. The buggy seats four with seat belts front and rear. Each state's requirements to run these on the street are different, so check your local laws before bidding. These cars are easy to work on, have every part available, stingy on gas, and more fun to drive than just about anything else out there. These also hold their value and have been appreciating in value in recent years as the historic/cult classic/Icon status that has long been overdue is now being recognized by publications such as Hemmings Motor News and Hagerty. Build costs with labor can be prohibitive. Buy mine and have room for your personal touches. Happy to answer any and all questions. Not perfect, but WAY better than most out there.
