Vehicle Detail
Hello, I am selling this clean Triumph to the highest bidder. I have owned it for over 6 years and got it in Sacramento from a retired motorcycle mechanic that bought it in 1975 from the original owner. I had it sold here a couple of years ago but the high bidder had a family emergency and backed out without ever seeing the bike. I thought I would keep it for the long run but now need some funds to pay for my daughters college education. In 1974, Triumph factory workers were on strike and there were only about 900 motorcycles produced. Of that 900, a few were Bonneville 750s. This motorcycle is one of those few. You will find 71,72,73,75,76 but 1974 is indeed a rare breed. This motorcycle was the last year with the British standard right side shifter. It has a factory 5 speed gearbox and front disc brake. The tank was repainted and new seat cover installed. Other than that the bike is very original and unrestored. The frame has its factory paint with the "made in England" stickers intact. The wheel chrome is super nice and original. The only non stock parts are a set of 1970s vintage Dunstall knockoff pipes. There is some light pitting on the headlight assembly. The bike was tuned to perfection by John Ireland of Santa Barbara Redline motorcycles fame. The turn signals were an ugly after thought and removed by the previous owner. They are available but I liked the look without them. The speedo, tach, headlight, tail and brakelight all work as they should. The horn stopped operating last month and will be the responsibility of the new owner. I will be including some cool extra parts to sweeten this already great opportunity. Factory larger tank from early triumph with factory gold and black paint and hand pin stripes, slightly pitted luggage rack, vintage cafe fairing with smoked plexi shield( Small crack), low bars for fairing, extra lucas headlight assembly, airfilter cover and a box of misc small parts. I have sold airplanes, motorcycles, sportscars and parts on EBAY. I have over 120 transactions with 100% positive feedback. I do not misrepresent my items. I do not have this motorcycle for sale anywhere else and I will not end the auction early or add a buy it now option. I will sell this motorcycle to the highest bidder period. All I ask is that you are sure you want it and will pay for it when the auction ends. Feel free to call with any questions or schedule a viewing. Thanks for looking, Doug 805 901 6862
