You are looking at a 1963 Porsche 356 B model coupe. This car is an older restoration but looks very good and has always been stored in a garage. First of all, I am selling the Porsche for a friend of mine who recently passed away. He was a Porsche and Volkswagen perfectionist. I recently took the Porsche for a little drive and can't say enough about how this car runs and drives. This 356 is dialed in to the max and runs excellently. The motor and transmission feel great. You could drive this car anywhere. The motor compartment is very clean. The motor is not the original matching number motor, but it does have the original dual zenith carburetors. The gas valve on the gas tank works good. The brakes have been rebuilt and all feel good. The heater is hooked up and also works good. The original Blaupunkt radio works, plus the clock and all the gauges work except the oil temperature gauge. It has new speakers and grills. It has a kilometer speedometer (odometer isn’t working) and a locking gear shifter (European style). This car still has its original owners manual and glove box lid accessories. The original steering wheel is nice, but the horn doesn't work. It has all new upholstery. New headliner, new interior lights, and new salt and pepper German weave carpet. New dash pad, new black leather seats and door panels, and all new weatherstripping around the doors. The Porsche has new German retractable seatbelts installed. I just saw the receipts for the upholstery work done in this car, and it was over $5000 for materials and labor. The bumpers, guards and deco strips are in very nice shape. All the lights work and are not pitted, and they all have new rubber. All the windows have new rubber and are original Sekurit German glass. It has new rocker moldings and rubber inserts. It has a new hood handle molding emblazoned with the Porsche crest. This 356 is a bright Porsche red color and is smooth and shiny. There are a few nicks and scratches, but nothing serious. There are also a few small dents that didn't get blocked out properly when this car was painted. The car has fairly new 165x15 traction tires with chrome wheels and chrome hubcaps. The front trunk area has been nicely detailed out and the spare is all original. There is also a newly installed battery box and battery. The side bulkheads feel okay. One jack position has been bent up (pictured). In the front, it appears that the structure that holds the front end on has been replaced. The floor pan wasn't undercoated over, so you can see exactly the shape that it is in. It appears the front lower panel has had some damage and was repaired. After saying all this, I still cannot say enough about how this nice old 356 runs and drives. This car is not perfect but it is a very nice looking car and certainly turns heads. You could take this car anywhere and look good! You could fly in and drive this car home. We are selling this car for a reasonable reserve, and rest assured these cars’ value only goes up!
